Hello Friends,

Welcome to Adventure Awaits You!

I started this blog in 2012 as a way to get past my terror of sharing my writing. Reading, and thus writing, has not always been easy for me. (Check out My Why.) So everything that helps hone the craft is awesome, in my book.

Since 2012, I’ve had some publications.

In October 2013, I teamed up with several other writers to self-publish a collection of horror/dark fantasy stories titled Midnight Abyss. What an awesome experience.

I’ve also gotten some short stories published in the Story Shack e-zine and Dark Futures (also an e-zine.) As of August 2018, one of my short stories, Wizard’s Coffee, is published in Z Publishing’s Colorado’s Emerging Writers Anthology.

The Adventure BookThe truly exciting publication for me came in Fall of 2017. After a successful kickstarter campaign, I was able to self-publish The Adventure. This book started with adventure stories written for this very blog. Three of the adventure stories made it into the book. (Moonrise Mountain, Temple of Night and Wind and The Tournament).

Anyway, if you can’t already tell, I love the Choose Your Own Adventure books. So, this blog is styled after those books. Each week entails a new adventure that readers get to chime in on. Because this entertains my love of storytelling, (again, check out My Why page), and gets readers involved, I can ignore the fact I’m sharing my writing and just have fun with it.

So, join in the adventure but be careful, there be dragons beyond the edges. And what you find depends on your choices!

Enjoy and Blessings,

Jennifer M. Zeiger

hey how’s it going, just read your blog and what an awesome concept – choose your own adventures! Great great idea, good practice for you and fun for your readers. Keep it up! And best of luck with your novels.. blogging at http://emilymorganwrites.com 😉

    • Thanks for reading=) You’re right, it is great practice although it’s more work than I originally thought it would be. But the practice of running through different endings has helped my thought process while writing soooo much. It’s a great way to work out ideas for a story.Thank you again for reading. I’ll have to stop by and check out your writing=)

“And, but, or, nor, for, yet…these are the coordinating conjunctions. Wither either, neither nor, and, but, or or, the verb agrees with the nearer subject…”

Oh my, I remember the “bonehead” grammar classes of many years ago! But, (subordinating conjunction), I did manage to get published.

I share your fear of exposing my prose, and a poet I am not. However, we write anyway because it is a “superbug.” It, (faulty pronoun reference) has no cure and can’t be satisfied.

Enjoyed sharing this “share” with you…continued success!

  9. I found you on Writer Unboxed.

  10. Would it be ok if I call you Jen- Jen? Since you are so terrified of sharing your writing, I will make sure to express my excitement when I’m in awe of your talent.
I love the FRICKIN title of your Novel. Is it Fantasy or realistic fiction?
